
Aviary
The Aviary is home to twelve birds of prey, four aquatic turtles, and four terrestrial turtles, each of whom cannot be returned to the wild because of either injury or human handling.
Here is Ted the Bald Eagle, named after Teddy Roosevelt.
With your support, we provide continual assistance for the wild animals on display at the Manor Area Aviary. Regular feeding and supplies, veterinary care, and support for Aviary volunteers."
Hours of Operation -

May: Weekends, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Memorial Day to Labor Day: Every day, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
September & October: Weekends, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
November - April: Closed, though still viewable outside of gated areas.


The aviary is open for the 2026 season to the public, and visitors can enter the facility. Make sure to make use of the U-turn to learn further details about each bird species.
The U-turn was purchased from a grant award received by the friends of Maryland State parks this year.
